Simon Maurer grew up in Switzerland in a family of six children, all of whom became professional musicians. He is a professional musician performing chamber music and solo repertoire throughout the eastern United States, Europe and China. A founding member of Gabriel Chamber Ensemble, he has performed with the ensemble for over 24 years and is artistic director at their concert series in Schuylkill County, PA. He is also a member of the Trio Clavino and the Ravel Trio. In addition to performing with a variety of orchestras, he finds time to teach violin, viola, cello and bass in his two private studios, one in rural Schuylkill County, one in Lancaster, PA.

Dana Weiderhold A native of Minersville, Pennsylvania, Dana Weiderhold studied under Simon Maurer, Sylvia Ahramjian, Michael Jamanis, James Stern and Arnold Steinhardt and has received degrees from both West Chester University of Pennsylvania and University of Maryland, College Park.? Ms. Weiderhold has concertized in Venezuela, Romania, Carnegie Hall, most recently appeared at Tulane University in New Orleans with her piano trio "Salisi" and was a featured soloist in Cameroon. She has appeared on WHYY, XPN, WRTI, WVIA, NBC, and QVC and has been a featured soloist with the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, West Chester University Chamber and Symphony Orchestras and the Newark Symphony Orchestra. Dana is principal second violinist of the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, assistant concertmaster of the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, serves as assistant concertmaster of the Pennsylvania Philharmonic and is concertmaster of the Anthracite Philharmonic. She has performed as an orchestral musician with the Baltimore Symphony, Annapolis, Allentown, Chester County Pops and Kennett Symphonies, Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra and Concert Artists of Baltimore. As an active chamber musician, she is second violinist of "Elysian Camerata", violinist in the piano trio "Salisi" and has appeared as a guest artist with the Gabriel Chamber Ensemble. Expressing her interest in both classical and Indy Rock music, Dana has collaborated with some of Philadelphia's most popular singer/songwriters having appeared on Andrew Lipke's "The Plague" and "Siddiqah" as first violinist of the Azrael String Quartet. The group is currently releasing their newest album, "Siddhartha."

Ms. Weiderhold has been providing private violin and viola instruction for students of all ages and levels for well over a decade and is most recently the recipient of the 2016 LLMEA Private Teacher Award. She has been a faculty member at the Darlington Fine Arts Center, The Music Centre, Blue Mountain Academy, Olenka School of Music in Maryland and has instructed young student group classes at the Pennsylvania Academy of Music in Lancaster. Dana coaches chamber music at the Bear Crossing Chamber Music String Camp each summer as well as Vermont Music and Arts Program at Lyndon State College, VT. She is currently on faculty at Albright College, Millersville University and the Linden Hall School in Lititz, PA and maintains an ever growing and enthusiastic private studio located in the heart of West Chester, Pennsylvania.
